ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS!! — Are you looking for some fun, great companionship, and an opportunity to make a difference in some very special people’s lives at the same time?! Then, the Maine Police Emerald Society’s annual charity golf tournament for Special Olympics Maine is for you!!
This year’s tourney is being held on Saturday, June 3rd, at Riverside Golf Course in Portland; tee-off at 1pm, cost is $100/player – 18 holes, cart, goodie bag, and buffet meal. Our hole-in-one prize this year is a motorcycle!
Attached are copies of this year’s flyer, team registration, and hole sponsor forms. Don’t procrastinate! Get your team together and register early! You don’t want to miss out on the fun!!
Not a golfer, but want to support our cause, your union or other organizations can sponsor a hole for $100 and get some great publicity by showing your support for our local Special Olympians.

We were here once before and it seemed to work out well. We will be in the dining room off the bar area with all the windows, overlooking the Fore River.

We have reserved our usual area at Bull Feeney’s on the 2nd floor.
The Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps is performing at:
1500-1600 at Byrnes Irish Pub in Brunswick
1700-1800 at Byrnes Irish Pub in Bath
Wear your MPES shirt/kilt and join us as we celebrate the Holy Day of Obligation!
Sunday, March 12
Line up at 11:00 AM and the parade starts at 12:00 noon
Portland Fish Pier off Commercial St. to just past RiRa on Commercial St.
The MPES Honor Guard and MPES members will be marching in the parade. If you can get a cruiser, that’s great too. Wear your MPES clothing/kilt or anything Irish. Dress warm.
After the parade, we will go to Bull Feeney’s for food/drink and entertainment from the Maine Public Safety Pipe & Drum Corps and Kora Shrine Highlanders.
Our February meeting will be held on:

Kerryman Pub (Mary’s Room, upstairs off the bar area)

Meeting starts at 6:30 PM
Any orders for t-shirts need to be received at or before the meeting, as the order will be placed after that to assure we have them for St. Patrick’s Day.

Our next monthly meeting is on Wednesday, January 11th at Joshua’s Restaurant & Tavern, 123 Maine Street (2nd floor) in Brunswick at 6:30 pm.
We hope that some more of our Mid-Coast members will be able to attend this month since we’ll be a wee bit farther north than usual!
